That is how 20000 hours of work looks like

I started to make the reconstruction model of Persepolis in 1996 in Iran - Shiraz when I was very young and it took me 14 years to finish it. The scale of the model is 1:75 and the actual size excluding its custom made table/base is 545 x 400 x 53 cm or nearly 22 square meters.

     The model is made of nearly 50000 hand curved and hand molded plaster pieces, coated by paraloid and reinforced with polyester and wooden parts. 

     The reconstruction is mainly based on my onsite surveys and the reconstruction plan of Persepolis by Friedrich Krefter.
